This book has a warm, feel-good ending. Otis helps to make this the best Christmas yet.

Liv- "I think the horse will grow up to be a really pretty horse."

Addie- "I was a little scared when the horse was getting sick with her baby."

One cold, snowy winter's night, Mouse is snug in her bed when all of a sudden a branch falls on her house and destroys it. Mouse needs to find a new home.  With a little luck she catches a ride into a new home on the end of a Christmas tree.

We, sadly, ran out of time for comments about our book today. Ask your child to retell what happened in this story.

Today we read, The Dog Who Found Christmas, a book about a dog who gets abandoned by his family. He is cold, hungry and scared. Will he find a family for Christmas?

Nolan- "I think Mr. Merriweather will keep him."

Patrick-"I think the end was nice because Mr. Merriweather kept Buster."

Addie- "His original owners were being mean. Buster didn't know what he was doing wrong. They should have trained him instead of getting rid of him."
